Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information DIY Renovation Hub ("we," "us") collects when you use diyrenovationhub.org, why we collect it, and what we do — and don't do — with it. We keep this short and direct. No legalese.
What We Collect
We collect information directly from you in a small number of places on this site:
- Free guide and newsletter signups — your email address, when you request the free guide or subscribe.
- Contact form — your name, phone number, email address, topic of interest, and message.
- AI chat widget — the text of the questions you type in the chat. We do not require you to log in or identify yourself to use it. The chat is powered by Claude AI (Anthropic).
- Purchases — when you buy a course, bundle, or guide, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe shares with us the buyer's name, email, and transaction record only.
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on this site. There is no ad tracking here — we don't have any ad network to sell your data to.
How We Use It
- To deliver the course, guide, or bundle you purchased, by email, generally within 24 hours.
- To respond to contact form submissions and support questions.
- To send the free guide you requested, and occasional emails about new guides or courses if you opted into the newsletter. Every email includes an unsubscribe option.
- To generate a response in the AI chat widget. Chat messages improve Claude AI's performance only if you explicitly allow it through Anthropic's settings — by default, your conversations are not used for model training.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any reason.
Who We Share It With
We use a small number of service providers to run this site. Each only receives the information it needs to do its job:
- Stripe processes all payments and handles your card information directly under its own privacy policy. We never touch it.
- Netlify hosts this site and processes form submissions (contact form and email signups) through Netlify Forms.
- Anthropic (maker of Claude) processes the text you send to the AI chat widget in order to generate a response. Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic's servers. Read Anthropic's privacy policy for details. Don't paste sensitive information (credit cards, SSNs, health data) into the chat.
We don't share your information with any other third party, and we don't use it for anything beyond what's described on this page.
How Long We Keep It
We keep contact form submissions and purchase records as long as reasonably needed for support, bookkeeping, and legal recordkeeping requirements. Email signups are kept until you unsubscribe. Chat messages are not stored by us — they exist only between you and Anthropic's Claude API.
Your Rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we have on file for you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, except where we're required to keep purchase records for tax or legal purposes.
- Unsubscribe from any email list — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Children's Privacy
This site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
